Jim Fredrick                                          

Jim Fredrick dabbled in comedy in the 90s before hanging it up to focus on his career in marketing and public relations. Unable to completely disengage from the stand up experience, he first put his energies into a fiction novel with a stand-up protagonist (A Cross to Bare, available on Amazon.com and BarnesandNobel.com), before returning to the stage in September of 2006. Within a few months, he qualified for a competition at the Miami Improv, and then began to seek out every possible stage opportunity like a junkie in desperate need of a fix.

 

Primarily a current-events comic, Jim’s humor stems from his mid-western upbringing and particular sense of observation. While still working in corporate America to pay the bills, Jim can be found performing throughout S. Florida and across the state (job permitting). Whether he can ever translate his passion into a career is undetermined. Right now, between hanging out with his comedy brethren, helping to establish new venues from which to perform, hosting, featuring and even occasionally headlining, he’s right where he is supposed to be (and tries not to get frustrated at the thought).
